How do i change the input method on the evo?

How do i change the input method on the evo? i have swype and shapewriter and cant figure it out. on my hero i just press and hold the message field. any ideas.

There are two different ways to do it. The easiest is press and hold the text field in the messages app or go to settings, down to language & keyboard.
