im running 6.1.0rc1 for the htc hero cdma (sprint). i recieved pictures from friends and saved some off facebook. when i was done i deleted them. but now for some reason everytime i save new pictures, there thumbnails are correct, but if you click on it it blows up the old picture that used to be in that spot. and if you zoom in itll change to the correct picture zoomed in but if you zoom back out it goes back to the old deleted picture. ive tryed wiping cache and delvik. i tried unmounting sd and i tried clearing gallery data. i tried deleting all the pictures out of my phone and i also tried deleting the folders when hooked up to usb on the computer. nothing works. everytime i save new pics. i cant see them because the old ones cover them. how do i fix this? maybe a way to clear the gallarys cache separately? or a better gallary i could use and uninstall this one?

I'm guessing that what you are seeing are the thumbnails...perhaps look thru the DCIM folder on the SD card for folder called thumbnails, and delete the contents.

this didnt work either. i tried deleting everything from the dcim folder. and they were still there. so it must be from the phone. and iv tried clearing cache, dalvik and also full factory reset before switching between fresh rom cyanogenmod and aosp as iv been experimenting. but the ones from cyanogenmod are still showing up in aosp. there must be a place its storing the caches because it doesnt even delete it when going between roms.

could it be somewhere in the in the partitions menu of the recovery menu? because i know like your gapps are stored in system. because when i was trying to remove gapps and put in new ones they said to do the format system and it worked. so could it be one of those options?

Well I found a fix just in case anyone else has this problem. I did the format system cache boot and data in the partitions menu. It didn't even help. Im not sure where the pics are being stored but my problem was the stock gallery. I went to it in titanium backup. And used that to find the app in the market. I installed the 3d gallery over stock. Which took out stock And made the 3d gallery app mess up and loop the startup of my phone. It gave a blank icon and said com.gallery and then I used titanium backup to uninstall that because the market wouldnt let me. And then reinstall the 3d gallery from market. And the stock is gone along with the problem! App works fine now! (:
