Help How do I delete a contact?

It may seem like an easy question, but I can't figure out how to delete somebody. Now before you laugh and say, "What an idiot", let me explain. I have a contact whose picture isn't showing up next to his name when I text him. I checked my contacts list and I can see his Facebook picture along with his phone number, email, Facebook, etc. I went back to my text with him and his picture still wasn't there. So then I chose a picture from my phone to temporarily use until I could figure it out. That didn't work either. I then decided to delete him all together and then put his number back in again. I went to People > Menu > View and made sure everything was checked green. I selected Done and it brought me to my contacts list. There I saw his name and image. I chose his name again and hit Menu in hopes that the word "Delete" would show up. Nope! All I see is "Link", "Save to SIM", and "Speed Dial". Earlier in this post, I said I linked him to his Facebook page. I did, but now when I select Link, it asks to link him to a contact or a Facebook page. I can't find him anywere in this phone to delete him. I've even tried selecting him for 2 seconds and I got an alternate menu which gives me the options of calling him, blocking him, or "Set default action". I have no idea what to do at this point. It's nuckin futs. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
