Root How do i delete the update market.apk?

So im rooted using tranquility 3.7.0 and i have the redx theme but my market wont keep the red theme because the market keeps updating with the the marketupdater.apk....i've done everything like clear cache and uninstall market updates but it still goes to stock after a minute...ive read that we can delete the market updater file but i dont know how..please i need help in finding out how to delete the market updater file so i can have the full effect of the redx theme..thanks in advance.

This is a system app. Located in /system/app/marketupdater.apk. You can use any root file explorer to navigate there and delete it.

I was messin around with my phone trying to figure out the very same thing and this is what I came up with. Alternatively you could also rename, using root explorer, the marketupdater.apk file to .bak.

Aggie deleting apk's is a BAD idea. freezing or renaming them is much safer...

For the people with more experience, like us, we can just pull them from the zip files if we need them again. But for beginners I think it's best they stick with renaming or freezing them.

It's not a bad idea.

shoot, all I do is delete apks. But then again i have them all backed up on my computer.
