Help How do I deletle just one message from a text thread?

RM22

Newbie
Problem I have is sometimes I accidently hit a key and then saves as a draft message in the thread string. Even if I go back and delete the characters, it still saves as a draft.

How do I delete the one draft message without deleting the whole thread?

Try sending a message to that person. That should probably do it.

or, if you have a task killer, kill the Messaging app.

you should be able to press and hold the message you want to delete in the thread, then an option should pop up asking you what you will like to do with it, just chose delete.

Press and hold allows you to delete, but it deletes the whole thread not just the one message.

Some actions that should be very simple are very difficult with this phone.

@swiff...the OP is talking about deleting a message stuck in "draft" mode, not deleting an individual message that has already been sent.

@RM22...did you try my suggestions?

From within a thread, long pressing a single message and pressing delete will delete that single message, not the entire thread.

With regards to a draft, deleting all the characters and backing out of the thread should delete the draft....sounds like that's not happening for you, thus it's a bug. But I can tell you that it is working as you intuitively think it should work on my phone.

opening the message should bring up the "draft" and you just delete what you entered...

how are you "exiting" after you delete the items? try the "back" key, don't hit "home" that will just exit the app without saving....

Note: I just tried the above and it works on the stock app and on Chompsms

I missed the draft part. I will think it will work the same way though. guess not.
