Help How do I disable 4G?

DILands

Android Expert
Although I'm not 100% sure - I strongly suspect that my TBolt is having issues with the 3G->4G handshake. Like all technology - it's still awesome when it works. My issue stems from having a 35+ commute daily, and wanting to use my TBolt for streaming music - and GPS! I can not tell you how many times I'll drop data. I KNOW that there's a way to disable 4G - and it's probably simple.

Anyway - how do I do it? Will be reporting back.

TIA!

Just called Verizon this week because I got sick of losing functionality as I traveled in and out of 4g areas throughout the day. "CDMA Only" is their solution. I said "you're telling me that if want reliable service from my 4g phone then I need to disable 4g, is that correct?" and they said "Yes".

Wasn't the gist of the ThunderBolt Marketing - the first *4G* phone??

in their defense, 4G still isn't rolled out everywhere, and the LTE signal isn't the strongest, either.
