How do I disable Twitter notifications?

I don't know what I did, but I somehow enabled twitter notifications, and there are sp many, it is REALLY annoying. I went in to settings, and couldn't find it. Plan B was to delete the app - but it's one of the ones that came with the device.

If anyone can help I (and my battery) will really appreciate it.

Just go into app setting and clear cache/data to twitter app and disable and force stop.That should do it.
And uncheck notifications.
