How do I enable Java?

I was on a site that said it needed Java - I checked in browser settings and it said javascript was enabled and that was the only java setting I found.

Is there another somewhere else? The site wouldn't work...

My understanding was that Android did not use JAVA in the normal way. I think you're right, rf, it was probably JavaScript.
