Root How Do I Get My LG Volt Out Of CWM Recovery?

JRock555

Lurker
I was trying to install a cyanogenmod 12 with tmrp. My phone just randomly went into tmrp recovery an i couldnt get out after i tried everything. after that happened then i found some things to use called recovery.img and i installed it on my lg volt and the phone went into cwm recovery and i tried to wipe and format everything but whenever i reboot it goes right back to cwm recovery. when i plugged it in my computer it makes the noise and does nothing else.

Did you download the right .IMG for the Volt? If not there is a guide that you can follow that will allow you to restore your phone back to stock LG firmware

The phone will boot to recovery if you don't have a valid ROM installed. The restore procedure might be extreme, I'm going to hope that the CWM you have on there will let you replace the recovery. So first step, get TWRP installed again ( flash this file http://www.mediafire.com/file/z2c23k0axkx8rc9/twrp302_volt.zip ). Second step, tell CWM to reboot back to recovery. Third step (hopefully) wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik-cache using TWRP. Fourth, flash Cyanogenmod. Fifth, reboot to system. If all went well, you'll boot to CM.
