Help How Do I Group Chat With iPhones?

when i get a group-text from an iphone using imessage, i can't respond to everyone in the group, only to the original sender. my dad's lg g3 will reply to everyone and so does my brother's htc1...

does anyone know why my brother and dad can but i can't?
 
I can send to my wife and daughter, who both have iPhones.
Are you sending as group conversations or individual messages? Try changing the mode (above the Enter message box in the standard messaging app).

i'm replying to a group message from an iphone. (they appear as MMS)

i'm not sure what you're referring to...

Can be or just try hangouts messager app it has group chat and if you have WiFi you can avoid carrier data and send and receive for free if you use WiFi.
 
does anyone know definitively why i don't have that option?

carrier option, android version, etc?

if it's just my android version, i will flash to a 4.3 rom.

i use hangouts but not for messaging (i have an old unlimited plan). i'm kinda used to the stock messaging app and would rather stick with that if possible. thanks for the tip though!
 
thanks, yeah i updated to 4.3 and found that. it wasn't there in my 4.1.2 and i haven't gotten any group texts to test it out yet though... what version and carrier do you have?
