Help How Do I Import Bookmarks?

loader

Newbie
I have the HTC One M8 and I want to import bookmarks into Chrome, Firefox and Dolphin... but I can't figure out how to do it for any of them. My Google account had the bookmarks accidentally erased and I don't have internet... just my phone. I did get them exported from my laptop from Chrome and Firefox as html files and have them on my phone's sd card but I can't find a way to import them directly to my phone's browsers or to my Google account from my phone so they can sync. Please help!!! Thank you!

There are tons of applications in the Google Play store that can help you with the import. You may also find that the different browsers will have settings enclosed within for importing bookmarks.
Maybe someone else can recommend a specific application for you to try.

I've been utilizing this method for years (not the original thread, just a recent occurrence):
Browser Bookmark Import/Export

I don't want my bookmarks synced to my Google account, through Chrome (Chrome to Phone), or any other application. So I keep an html file of my current bookmarks on my MicroSD card.
Using the 'file:///...' command in the stock internet browser allows me to locally open the file on the card and view all my bookmarks without having to import them into multiple applications or have to utilize some unnecessary 3rd party software.
Every month or so I manually replace the file on my phone with the new file manually exported from my PC that contains all the old links plus the new or recent links - it also functions as a master rolling back up.

I keep only one bookmark on my mobile, to 'file:///...', that contains all my bookmarks. I think it is slick and works well for me.

This is a simple approach that works on all Android browsers EXCEPT that it gives only a flat view NOT a hierarchical view.
I've got thousands of bookmarks in hundreds of folders nested to varying degrees so this idea does not work for me, (nor for anyone else with a similar collection...)

As far as I can determine there is no current solution to this problem. I find it sad that modern programmers have sunk so low that they can't even implement the exact same bookmark code in Android that they use in Windows. There is no excuse, just a bunch of wrong headed and incompetent twits dragging us all head first down a sewerage pipe.
