Help How do I install pdanet on PC

Has anyone successfully used pdanet 3.02 with the Casio Commando? I installed the app on the phone. Then I launched the executable to download the software onto my PC. Things get hung up when I try to install the USB driver. I select yes I would like to install and then do as instructed. I enable USB debugging on my phone and connect it to the PC as the instructions say. When I select ok, I get the following message: Android phone not detected (Error=103). Please wait for driver installation to complete and make sure the Android ADB driver is loaded without error in Device Manager. I have previous installed the C771 drivers posted in this forum.

I had similar issues with pda net and went with "easy tether" instead. Having used pda net before on winmo devices I liked it, but found "easy tether" works much better and connects usually instantly. PDA net was a bit to querky for me.

Easy Tether worked perfectly. Thank you!

So Easy Tether worked great on my Windows Vista 32 bit machine but not on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. I installed the same drivers from this forum on both machines. The problem with the Windows 7 machine is that when I right click on the tray icon it says "No Devices to connect" instead of "Connect via Android" I have usb debugging enabled and am able to see all the files and folders on the micro sd card. I think this was probably the problem I was having with pdanet yesterday. I don't think my Windows 7 machine is recognizing my commando as an Android device but just a mass storage drive.

I have the same scenerio. A vista 32 bit and a wm7 64 bit. Both run it just fine. It's been several months since I installed it, but I think I recall I had to go to easy tether's site and D/L a diff form for my 32 bit. My memory's a little fuzzy as to exact details. I recall installing it on my wm7 first then went about putting it on my vista and found 32/64 bit as diff files. have you checked into their site? I believe the os on your phone remains unchanged, just the PC's need different files.
Also I found the easiest method of connecting was to enable the usb function on commando before plugging the usb cord into it. I never messed with any trays or anything. I just leave "mass storage" enabled all the time.

Yes, the mobile-stream.com page offers both the 32 bit and the 64 bit driver. I tried the 64 at first and then uninstalled and tried the 32 bit which immediately got shut down because it sensed my machine was a 64 bit. I have sent an email to the support address of mobile-stream
