Root How do I keep an app open/running?

My LPP has been closing lately when I'm in nearly any other application. When I press my home button there is a 5-10 second delay for my phone to re-launch LPP and it's getting kinda annoying.

My question is: Is there any app or app manager that will force Android to keep one specific application open at all times?

I asked this in the application forums and didn't get the answer that I wanted

Hoping for a different answer and I figured you guys would know best...

You can tell LPP to be persistent in it's settings.

I think I found an answer to this (should have checked the LPP forums first). But here is what I found. Seems to be working so far...

Here's the procedure if you would like to try it out:

Open a terminal, type su and hit enter (you must be rooted for this to work). Now go look and see if you have a file called: /data/local.prop

IF NOT, then type this directly into the same su'd terminal: echo ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 > /data/local.prop and hit enter, and then reboot.

IF YOU DO, have an existing file called /data/local.prop already, open it with a text editor, and add a line at the very end (if an identical line does not already exist) with this: ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1 and then reboot.

Try this...hit menu >preferences >advanced settings >memory usage settings >put a check mark in the "use homescreen caches" and "prevent force-closes".

Also set the memory usage preset to Very Low.

Also set the memory usage preset to Very Low.

Actually at one point Fab suggested setting the memory usage to "high" to help keep things running smoother.

I've always used "high".
