Help How do I keep the backlight on like a droidX?

When I have this phone plugged in the backlight goes out when playing music. Its really annoying. With my Droid X I kept it docked and it was lit as long as it was plugged in. Unless I have the navigator running it keeps going out. Is there a way to keep it on when plugged in?

It's exactly the same.
Settings - development, stay awake.

I use an app called Screebl Lite to keep my screen on based on the orientation the device is in.
