OK I have evo 4g 3.30 with 2.02 hboot. I just ran the new unrevoked. It ran through fine with no errors. How do i know if it worked? I just tried to run titanium backup but i get an error saying the app needs root priveledges. I do see super user icon on my phone which wasnt there before. How do i know if it s working correctly? Please help

You'll know if you're rooted if you see a "superuser" icon, see "s-off" in your bootloader screen (ie: power off, power on while holding volume down...it's a white screen with different color writing, look in the top left corner), and if you download terminal emulator, type su and see # and not $, you're rooted.

As far as you using Titanium Backup and it saying it needs root privilages, that's an easy fix. You need to click on your "superuser" icon and allow (give it root privalages) Titanium Backup.

ok so i have some positive signs. I just tried wi fi tether and it worked! the only problem that i am still having now is when i try to run titanium backup i get this message "sorry, I could not acquire root privileges this app will not work please verify that your ROM is rooted and includes busy box and try again" any ideas?
