Help How do I make seperate notifications?

I changed my notifcation sound to "A message has been received" for when I get texts... But apparently this is changed to everything now, when I send an e-mail it says that, etc. How do I make it so it's just my text messages and I can set other sounds for such like e-mail sent notification, etc?

Easiest way to do it is under android settings select the notification you want for all other notifications. Then go to your messaging app and under settings select the 'you have a new message' notification. Most apps that notify you can have the notification changed from the general android system one, just dive into the apps own settings.
