Root how do I Move the Dalvik Cache to the SD manually?

So,as long as you have a partition on the SDcard, just typing in those two commands will safely move the DALVIK Cache to the SDcard on CM7 ?
No, you have to download and flash the a2sd file, its a whole different system, but it will work with cm7. I bumped the thread up for you. I haven't done it, but it looks like its worked for a lot of people.

THX For the homework.I was aware of SPYDERS A2SD tutorial & just came across this old post while researching something else & was exploring the possibility of applying the same technique to the stock appstoSD on CM6/CM7. I plan on doing the DT A2SD as soon as payday hits & pick up a 16GB-CLASS 10 SDcard.

Again, thank you for your timely response & sharing this with us.Even though it might not have been what I wanted to hear, knowledge is power when modding this phone!

Do you need a custom ROM for this or will a stock Froyo (rooted) ROM do the trick?

EDIT - I didn't realize this was in the Ascend sub forum (I dug this thread up on Google and didn't take notice - my apologies).

Is this fix in any way exclusive to this brand? Or can I give it a go on my rooted stock Froyo LG Optimus T and be likely it'll do the job?

tried installing a2sd on cm6, rebooted, and it wouldn't get past the second huawei screen, so maybe not a good thing for cm6. I've been using tb pro to move apps data to sd, you will get some space back on your internal memory that way.
