How Do I Put Icons Into Folders?

Midna

Lurker
I just got a new Android Galaxy Ace and I'm new to Android. I can't seem to put icons into groups.

I'm using Android version 2.3.4.

You can only do it in the home screen.

So you go to the home screen, long press until an option comes up to add something- ie a folder.

Add the folder, and then you can drag icons on your homescreen into the folder.

Thank you. It's different then I expected because I was watching a video on the Android 4.0 abd I'm using an older version. Can I rename the folders, because it just says "folder"?

Yes you can rename the folder. Simply long press on the folder, and an option will pop up for "rename."

Not working for me, if I do that inside the folder, nothing happens, outside the folder, it just says remove at the "remove" at the bottom.

Ok played with mine to double check.

Open your folder, then long press on the folder name, and it will allow you to rename it. It is not all that obvious, it took me a while to play with it to figure it out.
