How were your apps on the sdcard? Are you referring to backing up with titanium backup (if you had/have root), or are you referring to normal froyo apps2sd, where you move the apps to the sdcard in manage applications? If it's the latter, I'm afraid you have to reinstall them. Only portions of the app are moved to the sdcard, and are not simply recoverable after a factory reset.
