Help How do I remove notifications

Does anyone know of a way to permanently remove this notice I get each time I turn on my Optimus V: triangle with exclamation point "sign-in error for xxxxx@gmail". I haven't tried to sign in to gmail in over a week. Also the startup time notification. I don't need to see that. Thanks.

The phone uses your account to sync and it auto signs in on each boot. This means your password you have set is wrong. You can try to turn sync off all together and it won't try to connect to Google but if something happens you won't be synced up anymore and anything you added like contacts will be gone.
