I have an unlocked htc inspire software number 3.20.502.52 and was wondering how to go about rooting it. I've never rooted a phone before so if someone could give me step by step instructions it would be greatly appreciated!

The easiest way to root the Inspire 4G is with the Advance Ace Hack Kit (AAHK) - linked in the sticky I linked above. Have a bit of a read and then, if you have any questions, feel free to ask... I am sure that we will be able to help you out (and it's always better to ask, before getting stuck somewhere down the line)
