Root how do i root my photon

I want ics on my photon not sure how i do that is it easy or should i pay 35 to have it done?

there's an easy peasy 1 click root process. Takes about 5 minutes. Unlocking your bootloader is a bit more complicated, and so is flashing cwm to your photon. Read the instructions carefully. CM9 alpha (0.4.0) is available for your photon via Jokersax11 on XDA forums, search for it there.
I've been on CM9 for two weeks, beats the pants off of the moto blur ui crap.
