Help How do I save a photo sent by MMS with my HTC Desire S?

Kat21

Hi,

I'm new to the Android operation system, and cannot figure out how to save the photos I receive in an MMS? I've got a HTC Desire S, and the only options it gives me is 'set as' or 'details'. Very frustrating!

I have seen similar posts about the HTC Desire, but these solutions don't seem to work with the Desire S.

Anybody able to help me out?

When you open the photo, tap on the screen and an option to save should be there or a photo icon to tap.

Hey, thanks for the advice but that's the same advice I've read everywhere for the HTC Desire (not the S) and when I tap on photos there is no option to save... It's not just my phone either because my sister and brother in law both have the same problem.

I moved this to the Desire S forum so hopefully you can get device specific information.

I would try 2 things:

1. Long press the picture and see if a save option opens

2. Try a different messaging app (I personally use Go SMS, but there are some different options)

I hope you can find a solution that works!

I've got one of these phones as well and had a similar problem. When you're viewing the thumbnail in the message list, press and hold on that rather than opening the file. Then you'll get the option to save as show up, and you can save it to your phone memory. It'll be saved in the downloads folder.
