ok so my last android was the Captivate and so i had to use the wonder machine to side load apps, but now i have a shift and dont need to use the WM however i have no idea what folder to put all my apps in, any one know?

I don't think it matters what folder it's in. I just throw .apk files on my sd card and browse to it using Astro File Manager and when I touch the file it gives the option to install. You just have to make sure to check Menu>Settings>Applications Unknown Sources.

It doesn't matter what folder you put them in. Just have unknown sources checked in menu > settings > applications.

Use any file manager you want to navigate to the .apk you want to install and click on it. I've installed .apk's via my network using estrongs file manager without ever copying them to my phone.
