Help How do I stop Epic from pushing email

So I have not rooted this thing, I have the latest everything, 2.2 and EC05.

Every since I updated to EC05 a few days ago via OTA I cannot turn off the email push. Before the update I would have to manually check for new mail, which is the way I like it. How do I get that back? I have searched all of the menus and the web for the answer with no luck.

Menu/Settings/Accounts&Sync

Click on the the Email account that you are having the problem with.


If it's Gmail that's syncing, unclick the checkmark next to "Sync Gmail." If it's the Email app that's syncing, click "account settings" and change the "inbox check frequency:

So I did as you suggested. I went into Accounts & Sync. I turned off Auto-Sync, and turned off every sync option for every account I have. Yet I have still been notified of new emails.

The email program that is giving me trouble is Yahoo Mail. Before the Froyo update it would never push me email, now I can't get it to stop. Any other suggestions?
