Help how do i sync contacts with google

I've just moved all my contacts from sim to phone, now I want to sync my contacts to my gmail account, is this possible?

Using an app off the market, 'Export Contacts' I believe it is, you can export all of your phone contacts as a .csv file.

Then import that into your gmail contacts via the PC and their website.
