Help How do I talk to text?...says "can't connect"

I have gone into a text, press the microphone button and then it gives me that error not allowing me to talking to text. Why can't I do it? Do I need to have something else going to do it?

You have to be connected through wifi or 3g data to use the "talk to text" option.

Is there an App or DL to fix this problem?

Talk to text was one of the buying points for me.. but it isn't anymore if I have to be connected for it to work.

Edit: Whoops.. I have a Droid, my bad, didn't see the forum this was in. Came from google lol.
