Help How do I tether my data?

change the 0-1

and the

true-false

and add

ro.tether.denied= false
 
Yea, last attempt I went for a long shot. Coping it to my sdcard, made my edits, saved, then pushed it back.... Soft brick lol
 
lol, very weird

I always make the edits in OS using es then reboot.

maybe when pushing the file it's not setting correct permissions, this would lead to a soft brick?

I think it has to do with the write protection in the kernel and when messing with that file in that manner causes a conflict when booting backup. However, now that you mention it... I didn't bother checking the permissions the last time. Human error on my part. So yea, that could have caused the soft brick. Its stuff like this that makes me smile. Trials and errors :-)

Just when you think you got it figured out on an Android.... BAM! Lol love it. Gonna make for some good stories with the great grand kids as they look at me like I'm a loser bahahaha

Oooooh. Sneaky. Gotta give them credit on that lol. Although, if they were smarter they wanted call it tetherguard lol. That is just too obvious.
