Help How do i transfer files from GS4 to PC?

^ Glad to hear that about your phone, not so much about your PC.

LOL

ok im lost here

now when i connect thru remote manager on es file manager I CAN SEE MY SD CARD, BUT NOT MY INTERNAL MEMORY.

yesterday, it was vice versa

can some one break this down to me .. cause it has to be something simple that i didnt catch on to

well i want to see it on my pc ... i know how to get to it in the program.

are you saying if i open it in the program my pc will then see it??

I'm not clear what you want to do. This is an app on your phone. With it, you can see the contents of your SD card and also get on your WLAN and view the contents of any shared folders on your PC. Copy and paste to your heart's content. No need to hook up the phone via USB.

This doesn't allow you to get into the phone from the PC, if that's what you intend.

One caveat with ES File Explorer that I found.. and this probably has more to do with Android/GS4 than the app... but I cannot find a way to copy and paste from the screenshot folder on the device. The only way I've found to move screenshots (which apparently can't be directed to the SD card for storage) is to link them to a text or email and send them that way.

It works for me in ES. Navigate to the "0" folder which is the internal memory and then go to the "Pictures" folder then the "Screenshots" folder. Select whatever screenshots you want and you can copy/paste. Works for me.

ES File Explorer is the easiest way to move files to/from the phone using the phone and your wireless network as long as your computer is on the network and networking is enabled. It's fast an easy. I used to use Samba with the Evo 4G which allowed my computer to access my phone over wireless which was better because it's easier to navigate and move stuff using the computer than the phone. But I can't get Samba to work with the G4. I wrote to the developer but never heard back. I know about AirDroid but would prefer to use the built in Explorer in Windows and cut out the middle man. So for now, I'm sticking with ES.

Hey you are right shmn! I thought /device was the device storage, but it appears that Home and 0 are actually device storage. I found the screenshot folder in both of those (what's the difference?) folders and was able to long press and bring up various options including copy.

When I was fiddling with this the other day, I came across the screenshot folder but did not see any option to copy the file with a longpress. Wish I could retrace my steps so I could see where I got off course.

I stand corrected!

If there is a picture I can see in the gallery that I can't find with ES Explorer I open the pic in gallery and view the details from the menu to find the picture's path. The back to ES Explorer I go.
