How Do I Turn Off Automatic Remiders For Sprint Update

Now that my phone is rooted and running the stock .6 version of Sprint 2.1 my phone has been a pleasure to use. But I keep getting reminders weekly that there is an update available and I very carefully press cancel as I don't want to loose root and I'm very happy with the phone exactly as it is. So, can this automatic reminder be turned off?

Menu > Settings > About Phone > System Updates > HTC software update > uncheck the box
