I hardly know anything about this phone.Too many terms that i don't know,or know where to look for them.I had someone root it,but just a root,no other mods.It seems like it hangs sometimes and reception is getting worse as the weeks go by.So is it easy to un root,or do i have to find someone to do it? I've PM'D evodude,he lives in the same city as me,but he has not replied.

Im relatively new to this whole rooting thing myself. I bricked a different phone I had by not following the directions someone had here correctly.
But, the only way I know how to un-root is to do a Factory Reset, this will of course wipe out the phone. I used a App backup/reinstall program I got from the market to back up the apps I use to the SD card, then did a reset and reinstalled everything. A pain, yes, but the phone was good as new.
To do a reset, press Menu, then tap Privacy, then tap Factory Data Reset.
Then don't check off Erase SD card.
You'll have to re-setup the phone, like put in your google account and stuff also.
Hope this helps.

Factory reset does not unroot; it just wipes data and cache. All you have to do is reinstall superuser and you have root again.

???? does not unroot, install superuser and you have root again? But you never lost the root.Doesn't make sense.

i've been looking for a stock rom and/or preferably a rooted rom with all bloat removed for this device for a long time for another project. good luck. if someone could even post a step by step on how i can do it from a brand new never activated device i'm willing to post my work as well. let me know anyone.
