Help How do I upgrade to Android 4.0.4 or 4.0.5?

Is it possible for me to upgrade by version of the Android OS? I just bought my HTC EVO V 4G today and was curious if there is some kind of official way to upgrade it to the most recent Android OS, i have version 4.0.3.. i dont know which version is the newest but just upgrading it at all would be nice, if possible.. please fill me in, im new to this phone.. thanks!
 
Official upgrade is highly unlikely. Your best bet is gonna be to root and flash a custom ROM such as Cyanogenmod 9 or 10 when and/or if they get completed.
