Help How do undo 2.3.3 update...?

Hello everybody...
I've made a terrible mistake! I accepted the 2.3.3 (gingerbread I presume) update and it sucks.
I was running 2.2 (froyo, I believe) ans liked it just fine.
I had my phone rooted then using Gingerbreak 1.2

Now my root is gone, my phone is slower and my Netflix app won't run (just to name a few problems)

Can anybody advise on how to switch back or at least root my phone using the 2.3.3

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!:D
