How do you change the wallpaper?

I can't for the life of me figure it out.

On an empty part of any desktop page, press and hold till menu pops up, choose wallpaper. Or press menu and choose wallpaper.

Thanks! Although for some reason, my default wallpaper seems to be missing. How do I get to it?

I don't own a Desire, so it may be a bit different but when selecting wallpaper you should get a choice to use a default wallpaper selector or the gallery (more choices depending on what apps you've installed). If you can't find it in the default selector, try the gallery which should let you access all the pictures on the phone. If the wallpaper somehow was deleted, consider it an opportunity to individualize the phone? Good luck!

Try this, it worked for me (found this by accident):

Go to the market and download and install a live wallpaper. Then, the same way you select a regular wallpaper, select the live one you just downloaded. Finally, go back to the market and uninstall the live wallpaper. The stock wallpaper should be back.
