Help How do you 'exit' internet browser

I've just got my new Desire which I am currently setting up/playing around with! When I press 'Internet' to launch the browser to start viewing web pages, is there an 'exit' button to close down the browser, or do I just 'back' out of it?

Thanks!

Just back out of it.

However, sometimes if you are "online banking" this is not ideal. Then you can go into the menu and open a new window and close the old window so you dont back out into the secure pages

Just press back button until you are out of it or press the home button to take you back to your main homepage. I was online banking earlier and was logged in, pressed home key but then went back on internet to make sure and it logged me out no problems.

Watch out with hitting Home. It doesn't quit the browser it leaves it running. If you're left on a page (or pages) with reloading items it will empty your battery (especially if it's switching 2/3G while you're out-and-about). I always do the

Windows->New Window
Close all but New Window
Select New Window
Back

sequence since my phone died on me while on a trip into London. You actually get quite good at doing it - not that an actual "Quit" menu item wouldn't be very-much appreciated...

This is what I was trying to say.

Its even easy on stock android browser.

Menu>Windows>close windows. This then automatically opens a new fresh window.

How do I close a window? Plenty of options:
1) Press Back and review everything you've done for memory's sake
2) Open a new tab, close the old one. Oh wait, now I have a new window. Repeat until battery flat. See (5) for a short cut.
3) Press Home and just pretend you didn't leave your browser open.
4) Reboot.
5) Remove battery.
6) Immerse phone in water.

I think what's missing is a 7th option: Press Menu, select Close.
Or even better, some gesture on screen to indicate close tab.
Am I missing something really obvious??

Yes, you don't NEED to close it. Option 3 is the one you want. Option 2, not sure whats going on there.
