Root How do you flash a radio?

Hey -

So I was able to install a splash screen by flashing it through the bootloader, but the instructions on some of the radio threads are different. So, the question -

How exactly do you flash a radio? Thanks in advance for all the hand-holding, I really appreciate it. We just got that new radio from the recent OTA, and I would like to update.

I learned how to do this, and flashed the latest radio. Nice bump in reception.

The simple way is to put the correctly named zip on the root of the SD, reboot into the bootloader (not recovery) and the device automatically finds the file and installs the update.

There is a more complicated method, where you use a command prompt to move the file, but I don't know how to do that.

BE CAREFUL!!! F&$%ING AROUND IN THE BOOTLOADER CAN BRICK YOUR PHONE.

Really, a power outage or interrupted flash is bad news. Take the appropriate precautions. Make sure you have a full charge, and make a nandroid backup.
