Root How do you "flash" a Rom???

Hello all:

To install a new rom:

1. Do you have to wipe/erase/clean first?

2. Can you use "Rom Manager" to do install.

3. Will new roms wipe out tether ability?

I have an unrevolked rooted 2.1 r1 Evo and want to install Fresh 3.2 to get the 2.2 update.. Thank you for any help and the simpler, the better!

Thanks for response..PM sent back.. I guess I want froyo 2.2 with tether ability. I have 2.1 with unrevolked 2 and tether ability but now want to add 2.2 with Tether....
