I am certain that I am going to come off like an idiot...but I'll risk that....

I am not sure when I am using the internet or data.
EX: 1. Is it instantly assured that when you use a/the browser that that is an internet connection that you are using?
2. When using apps like: Facebook, YouTube are those accessing internet, just by virtue of launching them?

How would I know?
I can see my 4G symbol 'casting' a signal when I make calls, so what would I see for wifi? if anything.

Thanks in advance.

if the "wifi icon" is on the indicator status bar on the top of your phone you are using wifi.

if the "4G or Edge icon" is on the indicator status bar on the top of your phone you are using telephone company's data network.

google search "samsung skyrocket manual" and you can read about this in the "understanding your phone" section.

I tried it out....

I now see how just the WiFi symbol 'replaces' the 4G, while WiFi in use.

Doh!

Feeling brilliant! :D
