I want to get google Talk to work for Voice mail can anyone explan how to do this, i have tried and it doesn't seem to work for me?

Google Talk is not the app you need for voicemail. You need to set up a Google Voice account and download that app from the app market. That's the app that you want to use for visual voicemail (voice to text). I set up a Google Voice account over a year ago, and have never went back to the standard Verizon voicemail service. Google Voice is great!
