Help How do you reinstall application data.

With rom toolbox pro you can backup apps plus the appdata how do you reinstall appdata.

I really want to install the custom rb3mod rom but reconfiguring apps can be time consuming and annoying.

Never, EVER, write app data backed up from one rom to a different rom.

all that does is create problems

I disagree. Users apps are generally fine, though I've never used ROM Toolbox (Titanium Backup personally).

System data I agree - restoring that just leads to a world of pain.

What if I wanted to reinstall the data to the same rom after a factory reset. I would still like to know how to do it the data is stored in tar.gz files so would I need to be running linux. Or do I restore the data within android. There doesn,t seem to be an option in Rom Toolbox to do this.
