how do you remove facebook twiter and other widgets?

I want these off the phone. They are constantly running even if I dont setup an account.

Unless you root your phone, you cannot remove anything that came pre-installed.

To remove the widget from a home screen, long press the widget, it turns red and drag it to the trash can on the bottom of the page.

yes, but that does NOT work with pre-installed AT&T widgets... i would LOVE to get rid of them too! (*without rooting)

Yes it removes them into your drawer not from your phone. For that you need root
