How do you restore back to stock to return phone?

How do I get rid of all the apps, settings, email addresses, contacts, etc...basically get it back to how it was when it was bought from the store?

Thanks.

From what I have read, the factory reset only does so much and won't remove rooting and lots of other stuff. It removes your apps and sets your settings back the way they were, but not all. Do the stock rom downloader described above.

Even flashing with the 1click downloader will leave stuff on /sdcard. Make sure you delete personal stuff from there.

And for sure, you want to use the 1Click Odin referenced. The hardest part is getting the phone into download mode. I've done the rom apply a couple times.

When you get into that thread, search that thread for a post by me. There is something I added there that may help based on the description of the process. Don't remember at the moment exactly what I put there. (Getting crowded in my brain I guess:eek: )

they will reset it in the store. the guy did it at the counter when i swapped phones.
There are residual folders and data with the reset. Any media is still on the phone too.

so once you use odin or something you have to have an att employee wipe the stuff off internal sd card or is there anything you can do ?
