I've been loving my LTEvo, but stock software is starting to kill me. So how can I root this new toy of mine?

This method allows for an extremely easy unroot so I'll use this until a full root is available. I really just wanted to be able to restore all of my apps and remove Sprint's bloatware. There aren't any custom ROMs or recoveries yet, so not being able to flash them isn't a big deal at the moment.

Please if you do delete stuff, post back what is cool to delete without borking things. We'll start a list. Unless there's one on xda already.
I just got back into Pittsburgh, I'm in BB waiting to get mine!![]()
I'll start by freezing stuff before deleting. What would be a good length of time to wait after freezing before uninstalling? I know I should restart my phone to make sure the frozen app isn't required for startup.
