How do you turn off the battery full alert?

rcyphermd

I have the VZ Lg3. When it is full, an alert goes off. Is there a way to turn that off? It wakes me up at night!

Maybe you can turn down the notifications volume when you go to sleep... If you're not sure how I just saw it when I was playing music I hit the volume button and their is a settings button, just push that and you'll see the notifications volume bar

Anyone have a way to stop this alert? I need to be able to hear texts at night, so I cannot turn off notification

I am a physician on call and need to get calls and texts at night, but not the battery full signal. There is no way to list all the numbers that might call me

Hey there rcyphermd:)
I'm also on Verizon with the LG G3 and haven't noticed the alert for "battery full." :hmmmm:
What alert does it play? (notification name)
Do you have a battery monitoring app installed that perhaps is set to notify on "battery full?"

the sound is "pebble". I tried to delete it rename it using astro file manager, but it would not let me. Any suggestions?

Ah, I see.
Yeah, unless you are rooted you cannot change the sound.
I found my sound in /system/media/audio/ui/.
It was named "FullBattery.ogg".
Is that the name of the file you were trying to change?

I was just trying to delete the pebble sound or rename it. Is there anyway to do it other than rooting? I have never done that. Thanks for trying to help.

Hmm, sorry not that I know of.
You have me thinking now about that sound. I just wonder if my phone actually DOES make the sound but I never hear it as I am asleep by the time it fully charges :hmmmm:

Anyhoo, yeah, sorry I can't come up with another idea:(

Is there a SIMPLE way to root, delete that sound, and then unroot?

Is there a simple way to root? Yes, very much so, then you can rename that sound with a ".bak" extension to the end of the file.
Can you unroot and still have the sound removed? Not sure as I have not had experience just "unrooting"... ( short of restoring the device to stock.)

But with rooting, your warranty will be void. However, there is an option to return to stock if need be.

Using the "unroot" function of SuperSU (after rooting and renaming the file) will probably do what rcyphermd wants to do, but I haven't tried it, so can't say for sure.
