I was just wondering do you have to download something for your pc so you are able to use kies or what do I do sorry if this is a dumb question

Root How do you use kies properly?

It was kind of a pain for me to get Kies working right, but it can be done. You have to download it to your PC. Some people have had problems connecting, and others have had problems installing. I will tell you what I did to make it work. I went to google and typed in: Samsung Kies 1.5.1 download. - After this I clicked around until I found a good link, and downloaded it on to my PC (I looked for version 1.5.1 because I had read that it had the highest success rate)
Here is where I went wrong a few times. When you install it asks you for a country location and a language. Every time I said USA I would have an error installing and I would have to delete all traces of kies off of my computer and start again. After reading that the source site it must connect to for details doesn't like to recognize US accounts, I changed my process and entered UK instead. After that, Kies installed with no problems, and synced up with my phone immediately after pugging it in. Good luck to you, I hope this was helpfull.
