How does music play affect DX battery?

Using the extended BH6 battery, too.

My friend's iPhone barely loses any battery when playing music. It's almost a non-issue. Curious if this is the same for my Droid X? Just downloaded Google Music and I am so, so pumped to have my music library at my disposal, so I expect to be using the DX for music now.

Playing music barely affects your battery... but, since you have the extended battery music shouldn't even be the slightest issue

It affects battery life slightly but you probably won't notice. After listening to tunes throughout the day, I think I've seen maybe a 4% hit as reported by the battery manager. I don't consider that significant.

depends on streaming or local music as well. when i stream pandora for a few hours the battery seems to take a decent hit. when im playing the library i keep on my phone, i can listen to it for 7 hours and barely dent the battery. of course thats with the screen off. the thing that bugs me is playing plants vs zombies or ninjump for 20 minutes will take 1/4 of my battery.

I forgot to charge my X one night and went to school, turned on airplane mode and listened to 5 hours of music non stop on 15% battery. however it did die when i went to make a phone call. Now if you are streaming music, it uses about the same battery that browsing basic web pages does (in my experience).
