How does pre-ordering work?

You should be able to use your credit at any of those stores. Reportedly, they have the same power over your account that the actual Sprint store does, roughly.

I have a question I hope you guys can field. Normally I buy used phones off Craigslist, which has served me well (got my cheap Curve and Instinct that way). But as of June 1st I'm elegible for a $150 credit from Sprint towards a new phone... and that Evo has my name written all over it!

Do I have to go through Sprint to get the credit and the best price, or should I look into Best Buy/Radio Shack type places?

You'll get the discount anywhere you go, difference is BB or RS may have better deals and offer instant rebates.

Hello folks. I've been following the forums for quite awhile now but this is my first post. I'm new to android and smartphones in general but will definately be getting this phone when it comes out, I just have a couple questions.

1. From what I've read in here, if I have a line that is eligible for the $150 upgrade, I can get that if I go to best buy correct? I don't have to go to a sprint store? Money is kind of an important factor and I'd like to get the best price I can.

2. Lastly, like I said I'm new to android, but I've spent a bit of time at my local sprint store messing with the hero and htc touch pro and could not figure out a way to set downloaded wallpapers as the wallpaper, it would just let me use the presets and pics from the camera. I'm assuming I just didn't mess with it enough and there is a way to do that, or do I only get to pick from presets and pics?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Premiere is if you've been with them 10 years. Cause I am at 9. But I changed my plan in March to the 69.99 plan from an old F & C plan and they said I will be a premiere in 3 months now. So it's 10 years or 3 months after having a 69.99 plan or higher. And technically they say my upgrade is August but he said they would let me slide to June if I called back. But yes you get to upgrade once a year instead of every 2. And I heard you get other incentives like discounts on accessories and stuff but I am not sure about that though.

You have to be with Sprint 5+ years from what I understand .... than your automatically switched over -

Good news is when you become a premier you get to upgrade every year ($150 off upgrade) vs every 2 yrs - :p

My upgrade is in June and I just spoke to Radio Shack. I can get it there and use my 150 and they do instant rebates and not mail in. And he said sometimes there even a little cheaper than Sprint or BB. He said they have the HERO right now for 49.99 and it's 79.99 and 99 or 129 somewhere else. But since the EVO will be new I doubt it would be less than 199 but it would be nice if they had some kind of extra 30 bucks off or so. I would get it from them. And he said they are going to be doing pre orders soon but he wasn't sure when to call back. I am sure will no more after the May 12th party in NY.

I am still not convinced it takes 10yrs to be premier since in my house we are at least 4yrs shy of that and we have premier status so I ask how can that be given the op`s logic

Eligibility requirements for Sprint Premier are simple: 1) For three consecutive months, consumer customers must be on an individual wireless plan of at least $69.99 per month or spend at least $99.99 per month on a plan that shares minutes, or 2) they must have been a Sprint wireless customer for at least 10 years.
