How does the Slider handle Skype?

I'm planning on buying a new VM phone since my current one crapped out, and I've been eyeing the Slider. I'm just wondering how well the phone handles Skype?

My current Optimus V handled it rather well, should I assume it works about the same on the Optimus Slider? I'm honestly just looking for a phone that can put up with Skype.

There is no video chat since it doesn't have a front face camera. I tried, but I can see what I can do.
