Help how does your Trans sync with your Android phone?

I have a T-Mo G2 and my both my phone and Trans are synched to the same gmail account. The Trans downloaded some of the apps that I have on my phone(maybe half?), but why not all of the apps? is it a compatible issue since some apps for my froyo won't work on honeycomb? what about new apps I download onto my phone or on my Trans, would they be synched as well? I'm very confused as to how your trans would sync with your Android phones and vise versa...

The devices are synced to your Google account, and will download the apps that are compatible w/ their OS versions. If an app isn't 3.0 compatible, the Trans won't download it.

I would imagine apps that aren't comptible with honeycomb might not show up in the market. Otherwise you should be fine.

As far as syncing, what are you looking to sync, app specific data? That won't sync unless it's a service of sorts via the cloud. So if you've finished so many levels of angry birds on your phone, it won't carry over to your transformer.

what about the new apps you download since the initial sync? It doesn't seem to update, i dont think...

damn it, my angry bird doesn't get carried over!!?? I'm out! :D
I don't play angry bird nor do I do any gaming at all.. I just want my trans to be fairly identical to my phone from a app stand point.

If the apps are supported on both android versions then you should be able to see and download them. It's not magic though. Because you download it on your phone, it doesn't mean it will automatically download on the tablet. You still physically have to download it on both. Paid apps should show up at least as "purchased" in your my apps section. I haven't run two devices in a bit, but I don't think the free apps will show in the "my apps" section on the device that hasn't downloaded them yet.

Yea there should be no issue with apps not designed for honeycomb, other than some FCs and the app not being full screen. Angry Birds should definitely be on there, think it even comes preloaded with a trial. My guess the sync doesn't automatically download non-optimized for honeycomb apps.

Well most apps should scale if they were coded properly, others might not be full screen. My point with birds is if you've got 3 stars across the board on one device, you still have to do it again on another. That type of data within an app doesn't sync.

But if you have two devices side by side on one google account, I don't believe if you download the app on one, it magically downloads on the other. It has been a while since I've tried. I have to activate a hero briefly and will see what happens.

^Agreed. I know when you install an app from the marketplace website, it ask you to pick the device. That might explain the trouble. When I get mine next week I'll be sure to do a full test with my droid and the asus.
