Im in ohio, My phone says 3g but i know there is no 3g here yet. I have a rooted and modded CM7 with a whole lot of performance mods my wife has the exact same ascend complete stock not even rooted.
Phone: CM7, rooted, CPU 710 (this matters)
Carrier: Cricket
3g lights up(LIES) 1 bar(thats all i ever get)
Time: 1:30AM eastern
Location: Half way between Dayton and Cincinnati
Server: Cincinnati, OH
(Best out of 10 tries)
Ping: 104 ms
Download: 0.75 Mbps
Upload: 1.2 Mbps
(worst)
Ping: 129 ms
Down: 0.19 Mbps
Up: 0.35 Mbps
Will repost with my wifes stock speeds, as shes not home.
I was worried about speed having mine this low but looking at some of these is just sickening. And im not even in a major city just barely within the service area between big cities. Then again when i was in our states capital and the largest market for these types of speeds, they had no internet service what so ever, this was a few months ago maybe they go off their ass and did something about it idk. The fact still is this is USA and we have the slowest and most expensive internet speeds in the world. What ever you do DO NOT get clearwire mifi, slower and suckier than cricket.
On a more positive note im reading its possible to change the cap on these speeds in the build.prop i will also report back if this is possible.
Another side note i am not sure if this is aloud on here but if you would like to learn how to hack your cricket usb modem and use it for free, email me. Yes free with no cap or speed throttle. Robin hood style, steal from the rich and give to the poor. Donations are not required but wouldnt hurt to give what you can.
